Description

  • Taste
    • The berry has a taste similar to sweet pickled ginger. The leaf has a slightly more acidic taste.
  • Use
    • In medicine and apothecary, the leaves have properties to reduce swelling and inflammation. 
  • Texture
    • The berry is smooth to the touch, similar to a blackberry. The leaves are a little more bizarre. One side is fuzzy, the other feels kind of rubbery.
  • Magical Effect
    • Strangely, if too many are eaten, small harmless purple dots appear on fingernails. This is only temporary, however.
  • Other
    • The thorns inside the berry are quite sharp, but are easily removed prior to consumption.
